The Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje is organizationally part of the Botanical Department within the Institute of Biology. It covers an area of 11 hectares and is home to around 400 trees and shrubs, while the greenhouses contain more than 1,000 specimens.The garden includes three greenhouses, one facility for acclimatization of allochthonous plants, a laboratory-classroom, an outdoor summer classroom, a facility for acclimatization of rare and endemic species from the Macedonian flora, and a facility for medicinal, spice, and aromatic plants.
Over the past two decades, the Botanical Garden was in rather poor condition due to a lack of financial and human resources. In the period 2017–2021, the main greenhouse and administrative building were reconstructed, along with the facility for acclimatization of rare and endemic plants and the small greenhouse. Additionally, a summer classroom for extracurricular educational activities and a facility for medicinal, spice, and aromatic plants were built. This facility consists of three greenhouses and an open section with raised planting beds. Furthermore, the garden includes a fully equipped laboratory-classroom with microscopes and teaching aids intended for educational activities.
The Botanical Garden cultivates both native and non-native plant species for the purposes of education, scientific research, and biodiversity conservation. In recent years, the garden has also been actively involved in extracurricular activities for primary and secondary school students.
The Botanical Garden has been part of the experiential learning network since its establishment, and since 2022, through its educational programs, it has been directly involved in the programs of the Bureau for Development of Education.In recent years, various projects have been actively implemented, focusing on raising public awareness, education, and plant conservation.
The Botanical Garden staff includes assistant researcher MSc Cvetanka Stojchevska, senior laboratory technician BSc Biol. Oliver Nikolovski, and laboratory technician Jadranka Crnichikj.

Mission: The Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics contributes to plant conservation, promotes biological education, and enables scientific and applied research in cooperation with other botanical centers.
Values: Research potential, spatial capacity, tradition, the only botanical garden in Macedonia, potential of students and young researchers.
