Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Ecology and Environment, teaching courses in environmental science, landscape ecology, and conservation ecology. Gained MSc in Biology (Ecology) from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, with a thesis entitled “Rapid Assessment of the Ecological Integrity of Watercourses in the Bregalnica River Basin.” Further academic training was pursued in the United Kingdom at Staffordshire University, where a PhD was obtained in 2021 with a dissertation titled “Valued landscapes facing rapid environmental change: Integrating cross-cultural views in a visual quality assessment of Shar Planina, North Macedonia”.
Research interests focus on landscape ecology, particularly the dynamics of structural landscape change and connectivity, and their implications for the ecological integrity of ecosystems and wildlife populations. Additional interests include the perception and valuation of both visual and functional landscape characteristics.
Extensive experience in applied conservation, with active involvement in research and project activities related to nature conservation. Author and co-author of multiple scientific publications, as well as technical and professional reports.
