Редовен професор д-р Митко Младенов

Биографија

Д-р. Митко Младенов, редовен професор, е истакнат научник од областа на физиологијата, биофизиката и молекуларната биомедицина, со значајна меѓународна научна видливост и континуирана истражувачка продуктивност. Роден е на 17 февруари 1975 година во Ново Село, Струмица, каде го завршува основното образование, а средното образование го стекнува во СОУ „Јане Сандански“ во Струмица, природно-математичка насока, со континуиран одличен успех. Своето високо образование го продолжува на Институтот за биологија при Природно-математичкиот факултет во Скопје, каде дипломира во 1998 година на биохемиско-физиолошката насока, по што е ангажиран како стручен соработник на Заводот за физиологија и биохемија.

Магистерските студии ги завршува во 2004 година на истиот институт, по што е избран за асистент. Истата година реализира научно-истражувачки престој на Институтот за хемија и биохемија при Универзитетот „Ernst Moritz Arndt“ во Грајфсвалд, Германија, каде се насочува кон проучување на транспортните механизми на јони низ течно-течни интерфејси - истражувачка нишка што ќе ја одбележи неговата понатамошна научна кариера. Докторската дисертација ја изработува на Институтот за биофизика при Бугарската академија на науките во Софија, а ја брани во 2007 година, фокусирајќи се на сигналните механизми на грелинот во васкуларните мазни мускулни клетки.

По изборот во звањето доцент, во 2008 година престојува на постдокторски студии на Медицинскиот факултет при Универзитетот „Karls Ruprecht“ во Хајделберг, Германија, под менторство на проф. д-р Рудолф Шуберт, каде значително ги продлабочува своите истражувања во електрофизиологијата и клеточната биофизика. Овој престој претставува клучна точка во неговата интернационализација, воспоставувајќи долгорочни научни соработки со реномирани истражувачки групи, кои резултираат со бројни заеднички публикации во високо рангирани меѓународни списанија. Неговата континуирана научна мобилност се огледа и во редовните истражувачки престои во Хајделберг, како и во ангажманите како визитинг-професор на Универзитетот во Софија и на Медицинскиот универзитет во Москва.

Научниот опус на проф. Младенов опфаќа значителен број публикации во престижни меѓународни списанија, со фокус на јонски канали, механотрансдукција, клеточна сигнализација и патофизиолошки механизми на кардиоваскуларни и метаболни заболувања, што го позиционира како релевантен автор во современата биомедицинска наука. Учествувал во повеќе национални и меѓународни научноистражувачки проекти, а бил и раководител на меѓународни програми за академска размена, преку кои придонел за мобилност и научно усовршување на млади истражувачи. Добитник е на повеќе престижни грантови и стипендии, меѓу кои од FEBS, DFG и DAAD, како и од програмата Basileus, што дополнително ја потврдува неговата научна релевантност на европско ниво.

Активно учествува во научната заедница како потпретседател на Друштвото на физиолози на Македонија и член на Друштвото на биохемичари на Македонија. За своите научни достигнувања и придонес во развојот на природно-математичките науки, во 2015 година е прогласен за најдобар научник на Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје.
